Shopping in Antigua
Antigua offers a variety of shops and boutiques for the vacationing
shopper looking for that extra-special Caribbean gift or souvenir.
Whether it’s crafts, jewelry or duty-free bargains,
visit Antigua’s shops to find your own Caribbean treasure.
Most of Antigua’s shops are clustered on St. Mary’s
Street or High Street in St. John’s.
Duty-free items include English woolens and linens. You can
also purchase local items: pottery, straw, rum, hats, shells
and handmade fabrics.
Make your way to St. John’s on a Saturday morning and
visit the fruit and vegetable market for a juicy Antiguan
pineapple It’s worth the trip.
Another rich shopping area in St. John’s is the Redcliffe
Quay waterfront on the south side of town. Here, thirty-five
boutiques are set around tree-shaded, landscaped courtyards. |

“We have just returned from an extremely enjoyable two weeks at Galley Bay to celebrate our 40th wedding anniversary. We send our compliments to all your staff for their courtesy and being attentive but not invasive. The place is absolutely beautiful, and we will most certainly make every effort to return.”
